HFM-182 - Symposium on Use of Advanced Technologies and new Procedures in Medical Field Operations
Germany, from 19/04/2010 to 21/04/2010. Subject: The NATO leadership has mandated, and our populaces expect, that to the maximum extent possible, the medical care provided to our deployed military personnel will be of the same standard as they could receive in their home countries. The new NATO expeditionary strategic concept, with its emphasis on multinational shared responsibility for medical care, reduced deployed medical footprints and early evacuation, cannot be implemented from a medical point of view without effective use of all available advanced medical technologies in the multinational setting. This activity will bring together international experts in the development and fielding of advanced medical technologies, with the goal of gaining a greater understanding of soon-to-be fielded technologies, and to determine how they can best be applied within the multinational NATO environment. This symposium will address: & #8226; Advanced Technologies In Medical Field Operations - Current Research Efforts & #8226; Medical Training and Information Technologies & #8226; In-Field Critical Care Technologies & #8226; Haemorrhage Control, Blood Products, and Resuscitation & #8226; Imaging and Laboratory Technologies & #8226; Evacuation Support Technologies & #8226; Monitoring and Treatment Technologies rta.nato.int |
SET-116 - Lecture Series on Low Cost Navigation Sensors and Integration Technology
Turkey, from 15/03/2010 to 16/03/2010. Subject: This Lecture Series presents the current state-of-the-art in navigation sensors and system integration technology through the improved use of advanced, low-cost navigation sensor technologies. The material presented will provide an understanding of the issues faced by today & #8217;s system designers. Through this Lecture Series, the technical community will be updated on sensors and current integration techniques as practiced by leading experts in the field. The Lecture Series includes information to bring the audience up-to-date with current practices, as well as, information on sensors, algorithms, and applications. Applications are described for navigating in difficult urban, indoor, and underground environments where typical GPS receivers do not function. Also, a precise relative positioning system using a stand-alone miniaturized L1 GPS data logger is described. rta.nato.int |
