MSG-NSRL - Subscription for the NATO Simulation Resource Library (NSRL) Prototype
France, from 03/11/2009 to 23/12/2010. Subject: The & #8220;NATO Simulation Resource Library & #8221; (NSRL), is a fundamental tool to achieve interoperability and reuse of Modelling & amp; Simulation (M & amp;S) resources amongst NATO/PfP Nations. The architecture of the NSRL enables a generic, distributed, multi-user application which allows for searching, retrieving and uploading of information from different locations spread over interested NATO/PfP nations. Once populated, an end-user could access and tailor an application for it & #180;s own purpose, run it and obtain secure results within a short delay. This implies that models and simulations should be made available under a dedicated framework, that any property or copyright issues be solved, that an interoperability level must be achieved, that is beyond what is currently available. If this vision could be achieved, users would only require to develop new components that are clearly not available to satisfy their full requirements and a significant amount of money would potentially be saved. NSRL is a NATO RTO funded project. Currently, the NSRL is in the prototype phase having completed the in-house tests. Before starting the next development phases NSRL needs to be tested by opening its & quot;doors & quot; to the NATO/PfP M & amp;S Community. Potential users are kindly requested to apply for the NSRL subscription only if they are affiliated to the NATO/PfP M & amp;S Community. Before validation, all applications will be verified in cooperation with the appropriate NMSG (NATO M & amp;S Group) National Representative. rta.nato.int |
SET-116 - Lecture Series on Low Cost Navigation Sensors and Integration Technology
France, from 22/03/2010 to 23/03/2010. Subject: This Lecture Series presents the current state-of-the-art in navigation sensors and system integration technology through the improved use of advanced, low-cost navigation sensor technologies. The material presented will provide an understanding of the issues faced by today & #8217;s system designers. Through this Lecture Series, the technical community will be updated on sensors and current integration techniques as practiced by leading experts in the field. The Lecture Series includes information to bring the audience up-to-date with current practices, as well as, information on sensors, algorithms, and applications. Applications are described for navigating in difficult urban, indoor, and underground environments where typical GPS receivers do not function. Also, a precise relative positioning system using a stand-alone miniaturized L1 GPS data logger is described. rta.nato.int |
