Comm Port Technologies
If your premises require securing, install the Under-Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS) from CommPort. The CommPort UVSS is designed to scan, monitor, and digitally record crisp, clear digital-video images of the entire width of a vehicle's underside - all with one permanent or portable system.COMPLETE UNDER-VEHICLE MONITORING SYSTEMCareful integration of components makes the under-vehicle surveillance system a cost-effective and convenient solution for checking passenger vehicles, vans, buses, semi-tractor truck and trailers, and more. It is the ideal component whenever complete vehicle monitoring is required.UNDER-VEHICLE EXPLOSIVES DETECTIONAdvanced digital camera imaging and LED illumination provides clear, high-resolution video of the vehicle's underside to help detect attached packages, explosives, and other objects.VEHICLE-UNDERSIDE SURVEILLANCE AND MONITORINGImages are processed by a monitoring system that is capable of recording and playing simultaneously. The UVSS monitoring system cost-effectively delivers the full picture of a vehicle's entire width.Applications:Government buildingsMilitary installationsEmbassy compoundsTransportation controlIndustrial sitesFinancial institutionsOffice buildingsCasinos, stadiums and hotelsResidential complexes / palacesRUGGED INSPECTION RAMPThe Comm Port UVSS system includes a complete array of integrated and tested components and accessories. The unique heavy-duty galvanized-steel rugged inspection ramp can withstand weight of up to 48t from stationary or mobile vehicles. For wider roads or multiple lanes, steel ramp sections can be easily added. The camera and lights are all enclosed within the ramps, eliminating the need to construct or bury the cameras in the ground, or dig a pit for installing a metal box in which to house it.Unlike line-scan systems, the Comm Port UVSS is a real-time solution, with no grayscale or B / W line-scan images to compare. It shows exactly what your natural eyes would see, and there is no time delay for the images to appear or need for an expensive image-processing computer system. The ramps can be mounted with either a permanent-control cabling system or a portable control system. The length of the ramps can be customized to the lane width.LONG-LIFE COLOR CAMERASEach UVSS ramp contains high-resolution, waterproof, color-video cameras. Each camera incorporates a scratch-resistant sapphire-crystal lens in a waterproof housing.Cameras can be individually angled. The fixed-focus lens operates between 0.5in and 50ft for maximum depth of field.ADVANCED MONITORING SYSTEMDesigned as a stand-alone system that can simultaneously output real-time video with an advanced codec algorithm, the Comm Port UVSS delivers a high-resolution video feed to NTSC or PAL monitors. Images can be stored on a local or network hard-drive, and timed and dated. You can view up to four different cameras and stitch the video together as one landscape view for viewing. To the human eye it appears as one screen, of four different camera-angles, displaying a single vehicle-undercarriage. You can also compare previous and current images of the same vehicle on a single screen. The Comm Port UVSS advanced monitoring system incorporates a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system, enabling you to create an approved-vehicle list. The detection-assembly system is high-definition, with night-vision and colored plates for different regions and languages. Special filters are incorporated in the LPR assembly for different intensity plates. The Comm Port UVSS is simple to install single-handedly, with no cooling or heating ducting required, even in extreme temperature regions. The default version possesses flat-screen LCD monitors, and the industrial version LCD screens. Each camera incorporates very bright, long-life lights, ensuring successful imaging in extreme low-light conditions. Variable-intensity lighting prevents condensation or fog within the camera / lighting enclosure. The Comm Port UVSS provides 10,000lm of light with 100,000 hours of operational guarantee. All illumination is through LEDs rather than halogens, reducing expensive maintenance and eliminating the necessity of frequent replacement.A single, 20m (65ft) waterproof and weather-rated control cable is included. The distance between the ramp and control unit should not exceed 300m (984ft). Connectors are sealed, weather-resistant MIL-C-5015 type. Optional fiber-optic transmission systems for long distances are available.
