Ultralife Receives US Air Force Orders Totaling US$2.3 Million
Ultralife Batteries has received orders valued in total at approximately US$2.3 million from the US Air Force for tactical communications systems for military vehicles. The systems, which will include the company's McDowell Research brand components, will be manufactured by Ultralife's Innovative Solutions Consulting (ISC) unit based in Southern Maryland.Deliveries are expected to begin this quarter and be completed in the first quarter of 2008. Future Looks Bright for Non-Line of Sight
The Non-Line of Sight Launch System has completed the first of multiple summer tests at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., meeting all mission requirements and proving NLOS-LS is a weapon of choice for the Army of tomorrow. The Future Combat System Technical Field Test, conducted in February and March, was the initiation of a summer of demanding developmental and operational tests for the Future Combat System command and control network, as well as a host of FCS related programs, to include Redstone Arsenal’s NLOS-LS.
