Chemring Ordnance is pleased to announce that, Martin Electronics, Inc (“MEI”), based in Perry, Florida, has been awarded a $5.5 million contract from the United States Army for the production of M228 Practice Hand Grenade Fuzes. This initial order under a new five year contract with the US Army will start in 2010 and continue to employ forty people at the Perry facility.
