Army Issues Instructions to Prepare for Funding Shortfall

Army Meeting 2008 Recruiting Goals
The Army is on track for meeting its fiscal 2008 recruiting goals. During testimony Jan. 31 before the Senate Armed Services Committee military personnel subcommittee, Maj. Gen. Thomas P. Bostick, commander, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, told lawmakers the active duty Army is on track to meet its recruiting goal of some 80,000 new Soldiers in FY 2008, but is working to help the Army Reserve meet its number.
