Capewell Components
Capewell have supplied the US military for over 120 years. The Capewell parachute release has been in use with US forces for over 60 years. In addition, the life support and aerospace division supply ripcords, cable assemblies and parachute hardware to forces around the world. Their pilot canopy release is used on the F-16, F-22, B1, B2 and Joint Primary Aircraft Trainer System (JPATS). Capewell's safety division offers automatic descent control devices for use in emergency evacuations from aircraft with wide body configurations. The safety division also offers a wide range of manual descenders for military, industrial and rescue applications, including the special forces Military Compact Descender (MCD) and fast ropes.Capewell Components Company is the world's premier life support and aerial delivery manufacturer. Their aerial delivery division manufactures aerial delivery platforms and containers, airdrop systems, military pallets and extraction and internal logistics transportation equipment. Capewell also produces speciality items such as Container Delivery Systems (CDS), towplates, CDS Buffer Stop Assemblies (BSA), Center Vertical Restraint Systems (CVRS), the C-17 Dual Row Airdrop System (DRAS), platforms and outrigger assemblies, cargo parachute releases and Helicopter Under-Slung Lifting Equipment (HUSLE).AFFORDABLE GUIDED AIRDROP SYSTEM (AGAS)The affordable guided airdrop systems (AGAS) are a family of systems for payloads from 200lb to 10,000lb, providing high accuracy with low cost. The AGAS system offers greater safety, reliability and accuracy compared to high glide delivery. For safety, landing velocity is minimised reducing hazards to personnel and other cargo within the drop zone. The AGAS is also designed for accurate high-altitude release, avoiding portable missile and small arms threats to the drop aircraft. The rugged design of the AGAS uses familiar components that are easily replaceable and require a minimal amount of training. Programming is equally user-friendly, using a commercial GPS-based flight computer and simple laptop mission-planning computer. A built-in-test (BIT) verifies the health of flight controls prior to drop. In the rare case of control system failure the AGAS ensures the payload is still recoverable by reverting to a ballistic parachute, landing the payload on or near the drop zone.TYPE V AIRDROP PLATFORMSThe type V heavy-duty airdrop platform can be used for low velocity airdrops from any cargo aircraft equipped with the 463L-type dual rail cargo handling system as well as the low altitude parachute extraction system from the C-130 and C-17 aircraft. The type V's advantages include:Modular design and several platform lengths for maximum adaptabilityExceptional strength and resistance to bending due to 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminium in vertical web design with an interlocking joint between panelsCapable of withstanding 500G vertical impact and single point extraction of 42,000lb (19,051kg) payloadsInterfaces with either 88in (223.5cm) or 108in (274cm) wide cargo handling systemsRoller pads interface with floor mounted roller conveyor providing additional strength and protecting the underside of the platformAIRDROP TRAINING COURSESCapewell offers a range of training courses in airdrop fabrication and delivery. These include:Basic airdrop load fabrication courseIntermediate airdrop load fabrication courseParachute packing courseJoint airdrop inspectors courseC-130 aircrew trainingAUTOMATIC AND MANUAL DESCENDERSThe Capewell range of descenders include manually operated, controlled descent devices for suspended work positioning or evacuations from elevated positions. The range includes the EVAC-PAC™, the Capewell Descender (formerly known as the Rope Rider™) and the Military Compact Descender (MCD), which is specifically designed for military applications.Automatic emergency descent devices offer safe and rapid aircrew egress in the event of an on-ground emergency situation. They allow two-hand descent, using a centrifugal braking mechanism for descent at a safe rate. Boeing, Airbus and Lockheed have all licensed Capewell to produce these devices for their aircraft. Capewell is also the only company certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to re-certify these devices after performing a rebuild.Capewell is an ISO 9001-2000 certified company

Oshkosh Defense
With more than 60 years of experience mobilising military forces, Oshkosh understands the equipment transport, payload and performance needs of military forces around the world. The company's practical, real-world experience has enabled it to develop and manufacture high-performance, cost-efficient, off-road vehicles built to withstand harsh combat conditions.Oshkosh's proven durability translates into reliability and value. The company's experience tackling tough terrain help assure that equipment and supplies can be delivered when and where they are needed. Built-to-last engineering and a high-number of shared parts between vehicles translate into lower maintenance costs over the life of the truck.OFF-ROAD MEDIUM TACTICAL TRUCKOshkosh has developed a smaller, lighter, off-road vehicle to respond to the increasing demand to move military supplies and equipment faster. The Medium Tactical Truck (MTT) is one of the few lightweight trucks tough enough to bear the Oshkosh® name. The MTT follows in the advanced design applied to some of the most durable, reliable and technically sophisticated military trucks in the world - the Oshkosh HEMTT and PLS. The vehicle leverages many of the same field-proven components, such as a 220hp diesel engine utilised extensively in commercial applications, a chassis inspired by the combat-proven Marine Corps MTVR, and an Oshkosh transfer case designed specifically for this application.Available in the lightweight (4x4) and medium (6x6) variants, the MTT is extremely mobile, lightweight and affordable. Yet the MTT's off-road performance puts it in a class of vehicles all its own. The rear tandem axles have driver-controlled, inter-axle and intra-axle differential locks, enabling the MTT to move wherever the battle demands. The MTT fords up to 1.2m (4ft) of water, travels at 104km/h (65mph) on paved surfaces and will operate in climatic extremes from -31°C to 52°C (-22°F to 126°F). The vehicle can also traverse a 60% gradient and a 30% side-slope with its maximum-rated cross-country load.FUTURE LIGHT EQUIPMENT TRANSPORTERThe proven lineage of the Light Equipment Transporter MK2 (LET2) vehicle, which is based extensively on the successful UK Wheeled Tanker programme vehicle, is also backed by Oshkosh's unique ability to provide worldwide logistics support.Oshkosh's operations include service, repair and parts distribution globally, including fleets in theatres of operation. This worldwide and integrated logistics-support network offers the UK MoD unmatched service for training, parts, repairs and maintenance. The similarities between the Oshkosh LET2 and the Wheeled Tanker will help provide a seamless transition into the existing fleet. The LET2 shares many of the same features as the tractor for the Wheeled Tanker programme, including a shared appliqué armour suite.MILITARY, COMMERCIAL AND EMERGENCY TRUCKS AND BODIESOshkosh Corporation is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of specialty commercial, fire and emergency and military trucks and truck bodies. Oshkosh products are valued worldwide by fire and emergency units, defence forces, municipal and airport support services, and concrete placement and refuse businesses where high quality, superior performance, rugged reliability and long-term value are paramount.
